Heavenly Hooters's Lennie Rusby proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Heavenly Hooters from getting a goal against them. 39 minutes into the game, Todd Griffiths cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Comunardo Prandini was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Comunardo Prandini took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Phil Naylor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Stu Bullock had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Richárd Bódog hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Heavenly Hooters's Lennie Rusby proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Heavenly Hooters from getting a goal against them.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gus Weir was the one to do the kick off.
