Azzurri FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Hando Festini stood somewhat misplaced when Todd Griffiths came free in front of goal and shot 1-2 to the left of him in the 17 minute. Azzurri FC's Hando Festini proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Azzurri FC from getting a goal against them. Heavenly Hooters's Lennie Rusby played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stan Pitre in the 22nd minute of play. In the 23rd minute, Phil Naylor got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Brandon Wright received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Hando Festini came out and tried to block the shot, but Brandon Wright slotted it home off the left post making it 2-2 in the 24th minute. When the match clock showed 34 minutes, the score became 3-2 when Todd Griffiths sped through Azzurri FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Hando Festini. After 39 minutes Azzurri FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Marty King who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Heavenly Hooters's Marty King to fire away a dangerous shot which Hando Festini despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jules Barrett in the 42nd minute of play forced Heavenly Hooters's goalkeeper Lennie Rusby to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hando Festini showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Todd Griffiths, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Todd Griffiths to make the kick off. Hando Festini took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Phil Naylor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lennie Rusby was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Carlos Tello showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-4 in the 87 minute of play. Heavenly Hooters made a substitution. Shane Beesley replaced Ross Clark. Azzurri FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
