After a defensive mix-up in Poetass FC's zone, Ahmet Çağrı Kıralp stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. José Maria Goiano came out of the goal and Ahmet Çağrı Kıralp tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. ACC Mavericks's Bob Hyatt proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save ACC Mavericks from getting a goal against them. In the 22nd minute of the match, Zeng Xu Yuan got a very nice opportunity to score, but Bob Hyatt was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Bob Hyatt made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Zeng Xu Yuan sent off a good shot on target. ACC Mavericks were awarded a corner in the 25th minute after Poetass FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ahmet Çağrı Kıralp took the corner. An unexpectedly hard shot by Steve Van Clynenbreugel in the 33rd minute of play forced Poetass FC's goalkeeper José Maria Goiano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Steve Van Clynenbreugel came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the ACC Mavericks fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Steve Van Clynenbreugel couldn't finish the play. A collision led to ACC Mavericks getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Steve Van Clynenbreugel hit a great ball. Bob Hyatt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Witalis Brysz in the 41st minute of play. 41 minutes into the match, ACC Mavericks's goal looked a bit too open when Witalis Brysz came free, but Bob Hyatt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bob Hyatt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zeng Xu Yuan in the 43rd minute of play. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind Poetass FC's goalkeeper José Maria Goiano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

In the 52nd minute, Rogério Vieira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in ACC Mavericks's zone, Kalle Billberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bob Hyatt came out of the goal and Kalle Billberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 60 minutes in the game, Steve Van Clynenbreugel fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without José Maria Goiano having to interfere. The supporters of ACC Mavericks booed when Poetass FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rogério Vieira didn't get a good kick on the ball. José Maria Goiano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Steve Van Clynenbreugel in the 71st minute of the match. Poetass FC's Celsinho Montenegro was substituted for Witold Bronicki. After some careless play in the ACC Mavericks defense, Jon-Egil Schjelderup kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bob Hyatt. The ACC Mavericks fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bob Hyatt should have stopped the shot. Tuan Eubanks sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Poetass FC had won after a very even match.
