Real Chelsea's Hans van der Meijde played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mats Hermansson in the 4th minute of play. Hans van der Meijde showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abdi Revis in the 10th minute of the match. 12 minutes into the match, Vykans Vikingar's goal looked a bit too open when Stu Bullock came free, but Marcus Ekrot reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Alfie Downing could shoot a difficult shot in the 14th minute, which Marcus Ekrot however easily saved by the left post. Real Chelsea's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Michael Turk in the 15th minute. Real Chelsea's Michael Turk was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Marcus Ekrot in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Hans van der Meijde took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abdi Revis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Real Chelsea's Hans van der Meijde played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abdi Revis in the 16th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alfie Downing in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcus Ekrot saved Vykans Vikingar from getting behind. When Real Chelsea's Alfie Downing in the 19th minute got a chance for a shot 19th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Vykans Vikingar's goalie prevented a goal. Hílton Souza charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hílton Souza the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Hans van der Meijde showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mats Hermansson, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Vykans Vikingar were awarded a corner in the 25th minute after Real Chelsea's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Abdi Revis took the corner. A well-hit corner resulted in Martin Mutumba heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Faas Wilkes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hans van der Meijde having to make a save. Marcus Ekrot made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alfie Downing in the 32nd minute. In the 34th minute, Real Chelsea's Alfie Downing dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Marcus Ekrot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Timothy Thorne in the 36th minute of play. Hans van der Meijde showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abdi Revis in the 38th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Abdi Revis got free with Hans van der Meijde in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Vykans Vikingar were awarded a corner in the 59th minute after Real Chelsea's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Abdi Revis took the corner. 62 minutes into the match, Vykans Vikingar's Eric Van Lint sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hans van der Meijde narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 63rd minute Abdi Revis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hans van der Meijde saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 64 minutes, Timothy Thorne managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Real Chelsea's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Faas Wilkes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Real Chelsea made a substitution. Hans van der Meijde dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Vykans Vikingar eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
