An unexpectedly hard shot by Pawel Kornecki in the 20th minute of play forced SE Palestra Itália's goalkeeper Tony Chaves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 21 minutes into the match, SE Palestra Itália's Betão Vargas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Steven Wadham narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Clayton Sergi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Steven Wadham made a huge save. In the 46th minute, Wincenty Plachetka hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Betão Vargas to strike the kick off in the second half. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The SE Palestra Itália fans cheered their team off the field, for while KM Efektowni had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
