When Walmir Vale fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored COURO COME FC's protests and gave Walmir Vale a yellow card for diving instead. Walmir Vale kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. In the 8thth minute of the game Mateus Alves who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but COURO COME FC's José Maria Pontes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Juan Bittencourt's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but José Maria Pontes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Narciso Correia in the 10th minute of play forced AVAÍ F.C.'s goalkeeper Fabiano Lima to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hélio Furtado scored 0-1 in the 11th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fabiano Lima, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Narciso Correia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabiano Lima having to interfere. 16 minutes into the match, AVAÍ F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Duarte Mineiro came free, but Fabiano Lima reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 18 minutes into the game, Bruninho Rodrigues was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. COURO COME FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AVAÍ F.C. the free kick. In the 18th minute, Bruninho Rodrigues hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 21 minutes into the match, AVAÍ F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Duarte Mineiro came free, but Fabiano Lima reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Duarte Mineiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Fabiano Lima tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 30th minute, Luiz Fernando Severo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. AVAÍ F.C.'s Fabiano Lima played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by William Rossi in the 32nd minute of play. 42 minutes into the match, COURO COME FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mateus Alves came free, but José Maria Pontes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. José Maria Pontes made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Juan Bittencourt sent off a good shot on target. José Maria Pontes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from André Luiz Pinheiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gabriel Poveda stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to COURO COME FC getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Walmir Vale hit a great ball. 58 minutes into the match, Gabriel Poveda notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of COURO COME FC's José Maria Pontes. José Maria Pontes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. AVAÍ F.C. made a substitution. Joaquim Ceresso replaced Juan Bittencourt. AVAÍ F.C.'s Gláuber Meirelles was substituted for Aírton Xavier. AVAÍ F.C.'s Vitório Prado was substituted for Nelsinho Catarinense. Fabiano Lima made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Narciso Correia in the 64th minute of play. AVAÍ F.C.'s Fabiano Lima proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save AVAÍ F.C. from getting a goal against them. COURO COME FC made a substitution. Leandro de Carvalho replaced Walmir Vale. Ronaldinho Brito kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. José Maria Pontes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gabriel Poveda in the 78th minute of the match. José Maria Pontes came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by AVAÍ F.C.'s Gabriel Poveda. But to his dismay, Gabriel Poveda quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. 92 minutes into the match, COURO COME FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mateus Alves came free, but José Maria Pontes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 92nd minute, Mateus Alves made a precise shot to the right of José Maria Pontes. COURO COME FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. After 95 played minutes AVAÍ F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Ronaldinho Brito. For all the effort they put into the match, the COURO COME FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for AVAÍ F.C..
