Desiderio Lauaxeta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isidoro Lugo, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. 4 minutes into the match, Isidoro Lugo notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Tigre's Desiderio Lauaxeta. Desiderio Lauaxeta was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Sebastián Junes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Justo Lore in the 7th minute. With a little luck, Celtic FC's Sebastián Junes got control of the ball when Pedro Aparecido tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Aparecido in the 9th minute of play forced Celtic FC's goalkeeper Sebastián Junes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Celtic FC's Ted Ambjörnsson was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Desiderio Lauaxeta in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. A collision led to Celtic FC getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Ted Ambjörnsson hit a great ball. Desiderio Lauaxeta stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nicolas Froila's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. After 24 minutes Tigre's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ted Ambjörnsson who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Celtic FC's corner Ted Ambjörnsson fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Desiderio Lauaxeta quite easily take care of the ball. 27 minutes into the match, Tigre's goal looked a bit too open when Nicolas Froila came free, but Desiderio Lauaxeta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Desiderio Lauaxeta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isidoro Lugo in the 31st minute of play. Celtic FC were awarded a corner in the 33th minute after Tigre's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ted Ambjörnsson took the corner. 42 minutes into the match, Celtic FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gwyn Lawson came free, but Sebastián Junes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Isidoro Lugo to make the kick off. Tigre's Desiderio Lauaxeta tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Desiderio Lauaxeta made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Nicolas Froila sent off a good shot on target. Bernd Goorts blasted a shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Desiderio Lauaxeta having to make a save. Tigre made a substitution. Masao Koriotto replaced Sergio Cordareo. In the 66th match minute, Tigre was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diego Salomone to maneuver through the defense. Desiderio Lauaxeta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isidoro Lugo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Isidoro Lugo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Nicolas Froila could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Desiderio Lauaxeta made a huge save. Sebastián Junes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Aparecido in the 73rd minute of play. In the 77th minute, Nicolas Froila reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Desiderio Lauaxeta. The goal made the score 0-3. Desiderio Lauaxeta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isidoro Lugo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Masao Koriotto struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Sebastián Junes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tigre. Nicolas Froila who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 92ndth minute tested the skills of Desiderio Lauaxeta when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 92 played minutes Tigre got a freekick which was hit by Gwyn Lawson. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Celtic FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
