A very good chance for a goal. 12 minutes into the match, Alemannia Aachen's goal looked a bit too open when Niculae Ungureanu came free, but Fritz Rudolf Bankesch reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Niculae Ungureanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nisar Burkart in the 19th minute of play forced Alemannia Aachen's goalkeeper Fritz Rudolf Bankesch to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Niculae Ungureanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fritz Rudolf Bankesch having to interfere. Nisar Burkart scored 0-1 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fritz Rudolf Bankesch, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Niculae Ungureanu in the 30th minute of play forced Alemannia Aachen's goalkeeper Fritz Rudolf Bankesch to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 31st minute of the game Dirk Jacobs made a throw-in which Christoph Lowe played forward. Fritz Rudolf Bankesch stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nisar Burkart's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. After 39 played minutes Alemannia Aachen got a freekick which was hit by Till Emmerich. Chen Zhen took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 40th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Fritz Rudolf Bankesch. Alemannia Aachen's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Alemannia Aachen's Fritz Rudolf Bankesch played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niculae Ungureanu in the 44th minute of play. When SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s Niculae Ungureanu in the 46th minute got a chance for a shot 46th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Alemannia Aachen's goalie prevented a goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Nisar Burkart had several of the Alemannia Aachen's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 60 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-4 score and a disappointed Fritz Rudolf Bankesch as he didn't even see the shot coming.
