An unexpectedly hard shot by Grabiel Escorcia in the 3rd minute of play forced FC Buzău's goalkeeper Gheorghe Baldovin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Grabiel Escorcia in the 4th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gheorghe Baldovin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 6th minute Emil Strugure shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juaneizu Merida saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 9 minutes into the match, FC Buzău's goal looked a bit too open when Grabiel Escorcia came free, but Gheorghe Baldovin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 10 minutes into the game, Ştefan Trif threw the ball into play from the sideline. Nacional's Camilo Candido quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Grabiel Escorcia in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gheorghe Baldovin saved FC Buzău from getting behind. Grabiel Escorcia might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gheorghe Baldovin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Grabiel Escorcia ran back to his position shaking his head. Gheorghe Baldovin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Grabiel Escorcia in the 18th minute of play. In the 20thth minute of the game Grabiel Escorcia who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Buzău's Gheorghe Baldovin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Nacional were awarded a corner in the 21th minute after FC Buzău's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Xu Sha took the corner. Mendiko Bueres charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mendiko Bueres the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 22nd minute, one of Nacional:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Nacional. The referee gave FC Buzău a penalty, 23 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Leonard Aanuţei, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Nacional's Juaneizu Merida. 0-1. Gheorghe Baldovin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Grabiel Escorcia went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Grabiel Escorcia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gheorghe Baldovin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. 33 minutes into the match, FC Buzău's goal looked a bit too open when José Luis Rodríguez came free, but Gheorghe Baldovin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 35 played minutes FC Buzău got a freekick which was hit by Ştefan Trif. Juaneizu Merida took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emil Strugure, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 40th match minute, FC Buzău was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Augustin Cernat to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of FC Buzău booed when Nacional was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mendiko Bueres didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dumitru Cornoiu hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in FC Buzău's zone, Xu Sha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gheorghe Baldovin came out of the goal and Xu Sha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Nacional getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Xu Sha hit a great ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Nacional's Juaneizu Merida played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonard Aanuţei in the 53rd minute of play. In the 54th minute of the match FC Buzău got a corner. Nacional's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Leonard Aanuţei ran over to the corner to take the kick. Augustin Cernat kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Avram Elenescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Juaneizu Merida tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nacional's Walme Yurre was substituted for Mendiko Bueres. A collision led to FC Buzău getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Vintilă Stoicea hit a great ball. After 75 played minutes FC Buzău got a freekick which was hit by Lucian Dejeu. Juaneizu Merida showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonard Aanuţei, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. Nacional's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
