In the 2nd minute, Grabiel Escorcia left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Nacional fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 6th minute of the match Nacional got a corner. Galatasaray SK's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Xu Sha ran over to the corner to take the kick. Xu Sha made a great header on Nacional's corner, it was just that Galatasaray SK's Latif Al Fakir managed to reach the ball for a save. With his leg Juaneizu Merida managed to avoid a goal in the 8thth minute, when Galatasaray SK's Eric Oltean fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When the match had gone on for 9 minutes, Grabiel Escorcia put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Latif Al Fakir. When Nacional's Grabiel Escorcia in the 12th minute got a chance for a shot 12th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 23rd minute Nacional were awarded a corner. Xu Sha went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Nacional's Grabiel Escorcia to fire away a dangerous shot which Latif Al Fakir despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 30thth minute of the game Grabiel Escorcia who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Galatasaray SK's Latif Al Fakir was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 32 minutes into the game, Grabiel Escorcia cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Latif Al Fakir was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Damiano Fioravanti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Latif Al Fakir tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cristiano Hagi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Juaneizu Merida made a huge save. Grabiel Escorcia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristiano Hagi got free with Juaneizu Merida in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Grabiel Escorcia in the 44th minute of play forced Galatasaray SK's goalkeeper Latif Al Fakir to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Latif Al Fakir didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from José Luis Rodríguez went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-6 was the resulting score. Disappointed in the 0-6 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cristiano Hagi made a kick off. With a little luck, Galatasaray SK's Latif Al Fakir got control of the ball when Grabiel Escorcia tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 56th minute, Grabiel Escorcia left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Nacional fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-7. Damiano Fioravanti might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Latif Al Fakir. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Damiano Fioravanti ran back to his position shaking his head. Grabiel Escorcia succeeded in the game's 60th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-8. 67 minutes into the match, Galatasaray SK's goal looked a bit too open when Grabiel Escorcia came free, but Latif Al Fakir reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 72 minutes into the game, Grabiel Escorcia recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Latif Al Fakir. Grabiel Escorcia showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-9. Galatasaray SK's Latif Al Fakir played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Grabiel Escorcia in the 76th minute of play. When Nacional's Grabiel Escorcia in the 78th minute got a chance for a shot 78th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Latif Al Fakir was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Nacional played a much better game than Galatasaray SK and deserved their victory. The Galatasaray SK players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
