An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnulfo Acuña in the 9th minute of play forced FC Buzău's goalkeeper Gheorghe Baldovin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 11th minute Avram Elenescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Torcato Modesto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gheorghe Baldovin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 徐光辉 in the 15th minute of the match. FC Buzău's Gheorghe Baldovin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Astor Sancho in the 16th minute of play. Gheorghe Baldovin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emanuel Cilio, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. The audience was convinced that Avram Elenescu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Torcato Modesto was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. Traian Balaban fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Torcato Modesto having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind Club Atletico Lanus's goalkeeper Torcato Modesto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 59 minutes into the game, Club Atletico Lanus's 徐光辉 nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gheorghe Baldovin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. 65 minutes into the game, Traian Balaban recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Torcato Modesto. Traian Balaban showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Avram Elenescu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Torcato Modesto made a huge save. Torcato Modesto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Traian Balaban in the 79th minute of the match. 徐光辉 received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute.
