The referee ignored Nacional's protests and gave Jony Maidana a yellow card for diving instead. After 11 minutes of play, Nacional's Grabiel Escorcia made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hickey Dunne was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 15th minute Nacional were awarded a corner. Xu Sha went to the cornerflag to take it. Grabiel Escorcia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Hickey Dunne made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Grabiel Escorcia sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Donato Conrao in the 19th minute of play forced Nacional's goalkeeper Juaneizu Merida to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel van Zwieten kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Hickey Dunne showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Grabiel Escorcia, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Hickey Dunne took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Grabiel Escorcia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 31 minutes into the match, Grabiel Escorcia notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Prishtina FC's Hickey Dunne. Hickey Dunne was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Nacional's Damiano Fioravanti got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hickey Dunne came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by Nacional's Grabiel Escorcia. But to his dismay, Grabiel Escorcia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. 42 minutes into the match, Prishtina FC's goalkeeper Hickey Dunne had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Grabiel Escorcia. In the 45th minute, Enrique Dracena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Grabiel Escorcia was the one to do the kick off. Juaneizu Merida made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Tosun Manjani sent off a good shot on target. Hickey Dunne came out of the goal in the 64th minute to try and stop a shot by Nacional's Grabiel Escorcia. But to his dismay, Grabiel Escorcia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Grabiel Escorcia in the 69th minute of play forced Prishtina FC's goalkeeper Hickey Dunne to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 70 minutes into the match, Grabiel Escorcia had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hickey Dunne. Prishtina FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Grabiel Escorcia was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-1. Tosun Manjanis short, quick shot in the 76thth minute got Juaneizu Merida to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Grabiel Escorcia took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hickey Dunne. Hickey Dunne dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-1. Grabiel Escorcia might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hickey Dunne. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Grabiel Escorcia ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Grabiel Escorcia in the 81st minute of play forced Prishtina FC's goalkeeper Hickey Dunne to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 83rd minute, Grabiel Escorcia ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hickey Dunne was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-1. In the 86th minute Boiken Juniku shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juaneizu Merida saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 90 minutes into the game, Nacional's Grabiel Escorcia nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hickey Dunne made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 8-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Grabiel Escorcia in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hickey Dunne saved Prishtina FC from getting behind. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Nacional fans cheered their team off the field, for while Prishtina FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
