Nacional's supporters rose to their feet, but Grabiel Escorcia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Primitivo Cordaro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Grabiel Escorcia might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Primitivo Cordaro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Grabiel Escorcia ran back to his position shaking his head. Grabiel Escorcia received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Primitivo Cordaro came out and tried to block the shot, but Grabiel Escorcia slotted it home off the left post making it 0-8 in the 94th minute. When the final whistle sounded Nacional left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Boca Juniors.
