In the 11th minute of the match Galatasaray SK got a corner. Inter Miami CF's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Valeriy Chernetsov ran over to the corner to take the kick. Tonico Tinoco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Latif Al Fakir made a huge save. If Cristiano Hagi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Cristiano Hagi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jean-Philippe Al Abdullah was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. Latif Al Fakir was a little too slow when Tonico Tinoco got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 24th minute. The score was now 1-0. With a little luck, Galatasaray SK's Latif Al Fakir got control of the ball when Román Riquelme tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jean-Philippe Al Abdullah didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristiano Hagi went, in the 43rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cristiano Hagi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Latif Al Fakir took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guaberto Paio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Guaberto Paio in the 51st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Latif Al Fakir prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aleksandr Kalashnikov during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The Inter Miami CF players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
