In the 4th minute, David Elodio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Latif Al Fakir was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 7 minutes into the game, David Elodio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Latif Al Fakir was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. David Elodio took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Latif Al Fakir. Latif Al Fakir dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Galatasaray SK's Latif Al Fakir played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ödön Szily in the 16th minute of play. A collision led to Galatasaray SK getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Aleksey Martynov hit a great ball. Latif Al Fakir took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henning Fink, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 22 played minutes SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. got a freekick which was hit by Kevin Schade. In the 24th minute, David Elodio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. A wasted opportunity for SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.. After some careless play in the Galatasaray SK defense, David Elodio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Latif Al Fakir. The Galatasaray SK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Latif Al Fakir should have stopped the shot. Galatasaray SK's Latif Al Fakir played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ödön Szily in the 54th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s David Elodio slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Latif Al Fakir. That made the score 0-9 after 56 minutes of play. Ödön Szily could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Latif Al Fakir made a huge save. In the 71stth minute of the game David Elodio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Galatasaray SK's Latif Al Fakir was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Galatasaray SK's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Henning Fink ran over to the corner to take the kick. Latif Al Fakir made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Elodio in the 77th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Niculae Ungureanu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Latif Al Fakir. That made the score 0-12 in the 80 minute of play. SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. were awarded a corner in the 84th minute after Galatasaray SK's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Henning Fink took the corner. The supporters of Galatasaray SK booed when SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henning Fink didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 90 played minutes Galatasaray SK got a freekick which was hit by Yiğit Özdoğru. SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s Siegfried Danielzick was substituted for Kevin Schade.
