Grabiel Escorcia ran back to his position shaking his head. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Grabiel Escorcia in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jean-Philippe Al Abdullah prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Walter Geromel kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Cristiano Aveiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tonico Tinoco in the 26th minute of the match. Román Riquelme sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Grabiel Escorcia blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jean-Philippe Al Abdullah having to make a save. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Grabiel Escorcia to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Joseph Gayoso was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Nacional's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Inter Miami CF the free kick. In the 66th minute, Grabiel Escorcia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nacional's Joseph Gayoso got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tonico Tinoco in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cristiano Aveiro saved Nacional from getting behind. In the 73rdth minute of the game Tonico Tinoco who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Nacional's Cristiano Aveiro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 74th minute Tonico Tinoco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristiano Aveiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Xu Sha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Grabiel Escorcia took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jean-Philippe Al Abdullah. Jean-Philippe Al Abdullah dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Jean-Philippe Al Abdullah showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Grabiel Escorcia, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. The supporters of Nacional booed when Inter Miami CF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lars Ek didn't get a good kick on the ball. A throw-in in the 89th minute of the game was made by Blas Giunta with Eriberto Miranda as target, who quickly passed the ball forward.
