Hickey Dunne took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Traian Balaban, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 40 minutes into the game, Avram Elenescu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Hickey Dunne was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. FC Buzău's Gheorghe Baldovin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save FC Buzău from getting a goal against them. In the 44th minute Traian Balaban shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hickey Dunne saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Emil Strugure fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hickey Dunne having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Avram Elenescu to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Prishtina FC's goal looked a bit too open when Avram Elenescu came free, but Hickey Dunne reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Xhenit Hysa fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Prishtina FC's protests and gave Xhenit Hysa a yellow card for diving instead. When Avram Elenescu came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the FC Buzău fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Avram Elenescu couldn't finish the play. After 65 played minutes FC Buzău got a freekick which was hit by Ştefan Trif. In the 70th minute, Avram Elenescu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hickey Dunne was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. Cătălin Arjoca recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Prishtina FC's goalkeeper Hickey Dunne, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Prishtina FC's Hickey Dunne played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vintilă Stoicea in the 87th minute of play. Hickey Dunne showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Avram Elenescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. In the 92nd minute, Traian Balaban got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Prishtina FC's Hickey Dunne played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Avram Elenescu in the 94th minute of play.
