David Elodio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lionel Paly having to interfere. FC Wil 1900's Lionel Paly played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Elodio in the 26th minute of play. David Elodio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lionel Paly read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
