Magos da Bola FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Club Atlético de Newell the free kick. Evaristo Salles kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. In the 10thth minute of the game Alfred Barnfield who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Magos da Bola FC's Délio Munhoz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 11 minutes into the game, Magos da Bola FC's Rick Brabo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Billy Sawbridge made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kasey Gobey during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 14th minute, Kasey Gobey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Délio Munhoz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kasey Gobey in the 21st minute of play. Dom Mortlock hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. In the 31st minute, Rick Brabo made a precise shot to the right of Billy Sawbridge. Club Atlético de Newell's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. In the 35th match minute, Club Atlético de Newell was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kasey Gobey to maneuver through the defense. Samuel Teles struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Billy Sawbridge didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Magos da Bola FC. In the 37th match minute, Club Atlético de Newell was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benji Kay to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Club Atlético de Newell's Ollie Bright got a free kick in the 39th minute. After 43 played minutes Club Atlético de Newell got a freekick which was hit by Basil Holden. In the 44th minute, Rick Brabo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alfred Barnfield was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Tiago Rosa made a precise shot to the right of Billy Sawbridge. Club Atlético de Newell's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. The crowd rose to their feet as Magos da Bola FC's Samuel Teles slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Billy Sawbridge. That made the score 0-4 after 55 minutes of play. Rick Brabo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Billy Sawbridge having to interfere. Billy Sawbridge took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rick Brabo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 73rd minute, Spike Lambley hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Club Atlético de Newell's Benji Kay got a free kick in the 75th minute. Benji Kay hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. The Club Atlético de Newell fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Magos da Bola FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
