An unexpectedly hard shot by Staf Sielis in the 12th minute of play forced Brașov HooliganS's goalkeeper Eitel Patrzek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 16 played minutes Brașov HooliganS got a freekick which was hit by Sandu Gruescu. Richmond Van Linthoudt made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Șerban Gherasim sent off a good shot on target. 21 minutes into the game, Stelian Papaiani was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Brașov HooliganS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave De Bruyne the free kick. After 22 played minutes Brașov HooliganS got a freekick which was hit by Stelian Papaiani. Eitel Patrzek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Staf Sielis in the 23rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Șerban Gherasim in the 30th minute of play forced De Bruyne's goalkeeper Richmond Van Linthoudt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 31 minutes had been played when some careless play by De Bruyne's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gavril Argăseală was slow to take the kick. During this time Brașov HooliganS's players had a chance to rest. After a defensive mix-up in Brașov HooliganS's zone, Robert Lissens stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eitel Patrzek came out of the goal and Robert Lissens tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dragoş Burdulea hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. With a little luck, De Bruyne's Richmond Van Linthoudt got control of the ball when Horia Teaşcă tried to sneak it across the goal line. De Bruyne's Richmond Van Linthoudt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stelian Papaiani in the 42nd minute of play. In the 45th minute, Iosif Roşoga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jose De Raeijmaeckers, 46 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Stelian Papaiani to make the kick off. De Bruyne's Richmond Van Linthoudt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Horia Teaşcă in the 53rd minute of play. Brașov HooliganS's Eitel Patrzek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Staf Sielis in the 56th minute of play. Eitel Patrzek yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. Richmond Van Linthoudt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Horia Teaşcă, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. The supporters of Brașov HooliganS booed when De Bruyne was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roy Van Mellart didn't get a good kick on the ball. De Bruyne's Richmond Van Linthoudt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Horia Teaşcă in the 85th minute of play. Robert Lissens recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Richmond Van Linthoudt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stelian Papaiani in the 95th minute of play. The De Bruyne players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
