Ingemar Dahlqvist made a great header on Palm Green's corner, it was just that FSV Straubing's Augustin Tschorn managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind FSV Straubing's goalkeeper Augustin Tschorn, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. FSV Straubing's Augustin Tschorn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Malcolm Hult in the 16th minute of play. If Nils Mukengechay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marko Enström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nils Mukengechay in the 21st minute of play. When Lars Danielsson came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Palm Green fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lars Danielsson couldn't finish the play. Augustin Tschorn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Charles Sandström in the 29th minute of the match. Marko Enström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bill Frick, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 38th match minute, FSV Straubing was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ludwig Drechsler to maneuver through the defense. Lars Danielsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Augustin Tschorn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Charles Sandström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Augustin Tschorn having to interfere. After some careless play in the FSV Straubing defense, Ivar Löfskog kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Augustin Tschorn. The FSV Straubing fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Augustin Tschorn should have stopped the shot.

In the 53rd minute of the match, Charles Sandström tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Augustin Tschorn saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After 54 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for FSV Straubing! After having played for 58 minutes, Charles Sandström managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Palm Green's supporters crossed their fingers, but Charles Sandström was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Charles Sandström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bill Frick took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marko Enström. Marko Enström dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Nils Mukengechay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marko Enström having to interfere. In the 68th match minute, Palm Green was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jimmie Vennerkvist to maneuver through the defense. Ismael Höfer's late challenge caught a Palm Green's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ismael Höfer helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to FSV Straubing getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Ismael Höfer hit a great ball. Ivar Löfskog charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ivar Löfskog the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Charles Sandström in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Augustin Tschorn prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bill Frick blasted a shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marko Enström having to make a save. Charles Sandström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. For all the effort they put into the match, the Palm Green players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for FSV Straubing.
