An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivoš Petráček in the 43rd minute of play forced FC Nereta's goalkeeper Muammer Taşcıoğlu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 45th minute Jean Carl Ba Loua shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Muammer Taşcıoğlu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The FC Nereta players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. AC Milan were winning 1-2.

The wind increased when Ilie Slătineanu made the kick off in the second half. In the 61st minute of the match, Jean Carl Ba Loua tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Muammer Taşcıoğlu saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 92nd match minute, FC Nereta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Schuhmacher to maneuver through the defense. Federico Luceros short, quick shot in the 93rdth minute got Muammer Taşcıoğlu to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Mário Modesto's late challenge caught a AC Milan's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mário Modesto helped the player get up and apologised. In the 94th match minute, FC Nereta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mário Modesto to maneuver through the defense. Muammer Taşcıoğlu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Federico Lucero in the 96th minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. AC Milan had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
