Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Vista Alegre FC's Osvaldo Negri started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Murilo Paiva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Osvaldo Negri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hortêncio Senna struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Murilo Paiva didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vista Alegre FC. In the 13th match minute, Curiphila Eagles was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tadeu do Vale to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Curiphila Eagles defense, Osvaldo Negri kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Murilo Paiva. The Curiphila Eagles fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Murilo Paiva should have stopped the shot. In the 24th minute Osvaldo Negri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Murilo Paiva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paulo Renato Dracena took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 26th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Murilo Paiva. Curiphila Eagles's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Horácio Montenegro's late challenge caught a Vista Alegre FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Horácio Montenegro helped the player get up and apologised. After 28 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Curiphila Eagles! In the 30th minute there was a penalty for Vista Alegre FC. Dráuzio Lucas stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Murilo Paiva. 0-2. Kiko Mattos kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. A collision led to Vista Alegre FC getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Dráuzio Lucas hit a great ball. After 45 played minutes Curiphila Eagles got a freekick which was hit by Naldo Costa. After the first half Vista Alegre FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Naldo Costa made the kick off in the second half. Décio Neto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tadeu do Vale in the 51st minute of play. 53 minutes into the game, Tadeu do Vale cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Décio Neto was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Vista Alegre FC's Osvaldo Negri got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Vista Alegre FC getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Jefferson Matorin hit a great ball. In the 62nd minute Tadeu do Vale shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Décio Neto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 65 minutes into the match, Curiphila Eagles's goal looked a bit too open when Osvaldo Negri came free, but Murilo Paiva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 68th minute, Ediberto Abraão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 73 played minutes Vista Alegre FC got a freekick which was hit by Dráuzio Lucas. After a rather tough play, Curiphila Eagles's Tadeu do Vale got a free kick in the 75th minute. Curiphila Eagles's Murilo Paiva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Osvaldo Negri in the 76th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Osvaldo Negri in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Murilo Paiva prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Osvaldo Negri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 86th minute, Naldo Costa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Curiphila Eagles fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Osvaldo Negri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
