After 26 played minutes Olivedos got a freekick which was hit by Doni Senna. Juninho França sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, LRCA Office Club's Mauro Carioca got control of the ball when Doni Senna tried to sneak it across the goal line. Juninho Rosa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Víktor Mineiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Víktor Mineiro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luís Fábio Mandrak went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. With a little luck, LRCA Office Club's Mauro Carioca got control of the ball when Doni Senna tried to sneak it across the goal line. Víktor Mineiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juninho França in the 41st minute of play. After some careless play in the Olivedos defense, Luís Fábio Mandrak kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Víktor Mineiro. The Olivedos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Víktor Mineiro should have stopped the shot. After the first half LRCA Office Club were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edson Mendes to strike the kick off in the second half. Juninho Rosa came free with the goalkeeper in the 53rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Víktor Mineiro could save by the left post. In the 54th minute, Edson Mendes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Olivedos fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. Mauro Carioca came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by Olivedos's Antônio Carlos Valadares. But to his dismay, Antônio Carlos Valadares quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-3. 63 minutes into the match, Antônio Carlos Valadares notched a goal, 4-3, to the right of LRCA Office Club's Mauro Carioca. Mauro Carioca was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 66 minutes, Ulysses Romero mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Olivedos and the LRCA Office Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 66th match minute, Olivedos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ulysses Romero to maneuver through the defense. In the 68th minute, Edson Mendes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mauro Carioca was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-3. 78 minutes into the match, Olivedos's goal looked a bit too open when Juninho França came free, but Víktor Mineiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Paulo Renato Galvão fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Olivedos's protests and gave Paulo Renato Galvão a yellow card for diving instead. Luís Fábio Mandrak struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Víktor Mineiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for LRCA Office Club. In the 89th minute Antônio Carlos Valadares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mauro Carioca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 90 minutes into the game, Abel Reis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Olivedos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave LRCA Office Club the free kick. Abel Reis lost his temper 93 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Olivedos fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 92nd minute. Penalty! Olivedos's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
