Lino Zonta started the match with the kick off. When Luís Fábio Mandrak came up free with the goalie in the 2nd minute, the LRCA Office Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luís Fábio Mandrak couldn't finish the play. Mauro Carioca didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Aílton Neiva went, in the 5th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Fábio Mandrak in the 10th minute of play forced ROSÁRIO SPORT's goalkeeper João Carlos Oliveira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 14 minutes into the match, LRCA Office Club's goal looked a bit too open when Lino Zonta came free, but Mauro Carioca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luís Fábio Mandrak hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. In the 30th minute, Olívio Velloso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in LRCA Office Club's zone, Wellington Gerber stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mauro Carioca came out of the goal and Wellington Gerber tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. João Carlos Oliveira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Fábio Mandrak in the 33rd minute of the match. Wellington Gerber sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wellington Gerber hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. In the 47th minute Lino Zonta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mauro Carioca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Luís Fábio Mandrak stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Mauro Carioca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wellington Gerber, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mauro Carioca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lino Zonta in the 56th minute of play. Mauro Carioca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ismael Seco, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juninho França in the 61st minute of play forced ROSÁRIO SPORT's goalkeeper João Carlos Oliveira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. LRCA Office Club's Mauro Carioca proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save LRCA Office Club from getting a goal against them. 72 minutes into the match, LRCA Office Club's goal looked a bit too open when Wellington Gerber came free, but Mauro Carioca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aílton Neiva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mauro Carioca having to interfere. In the 77th match minute, LRCA Office Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juninho França to maneuver through the defense. 77 minutes into the match, ROSÁRIO SPORT's Aílton Neiva broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 80th minute, Ismael Seco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aílton Neiva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, LRCA Office Club's Josué Mangueira got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Aílton Neiva struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Mauro Carioca didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ROSÁRIO SPORT. LRCA Office Club's Mauro Carioca proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save LRCA Office Club from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as ROSÁRIO SPORT's Aílton Neiva slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Mauro Carioca. That made the score 0-3 after 91 minutes of play. 95 minutes into the match, LRCA Office Club's goalkeeper Mauro Carioca had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lino Zonta. ROSÁRIO SPORT's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
