Olivedos's Víktor Mineiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Olivedos from getting a goal against them. 18 minutes into the match, ROSÁRIO SPORT's goal looked a bit too open when Antônio Carlos Valadares came free, but João Carlos Oliveira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 20 minutes into the match, Olivedos's goal looked a bit too open when Wellington Gerber came free, but Víktor Mineiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 21 minutes, Zézinho Trevisan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Olivedos and the ROSÁRIO SPORT players grew even worse after the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antônio Carlos Valadares in the 25th minute of play forced ROSÁRIO SPORT's goalkeeper João Carlos Oliveira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Víktor Mineiro was a little too slow when Lino Zonta got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 30th minute. The score was now 2-1. Víktor Mineiro acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 41st minute, took the ball on the long shot from Alex Fantini. 42 minutes into the game, Aílton Neiva recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Víktor Mineiro. Aílton Neiva showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-1.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lino Zonta was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute Wellington Gerber shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Víktor Mineiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. João Carlos Oliveira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Antônio Carlos Valadares in the 55th minute. Víktor Mineiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wellington Gerber in the 57th minute of play. Olivedos's Víktor Mineiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ismael Seco in the 59th minute of play. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Víktor Mineiro showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Lino Zonta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Víktor Mineiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aílton Neiva in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Víktor Mineiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Olivedos getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Paulo Renato Galvão hit a great ball. João Carlos Oliveira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Antônio Carlos Valadares in the 82nd minute. Albertinho Cavalcante took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised João Carlos Oliveira. João Carlos Oliveira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-3. Víktor Mineiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ismael Seco in the 88th minute of the match.
