Antônio Carlos Valadares who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 4thth minute tested the skills of Murilo Paiva when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With his leg Murilo Paiva managed to avoid a goal in the 5thth minute, when Olivedos's Antônio Carlos Valadares fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 7th minute, Antônio Carlos Valadares reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Murilo Paiva. The goal made the score 1-0. In the 10th minute, Benedito Vale hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Olivedos defense, Tadeu do Vale kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Víktor Mineiro. The Olivedos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Víktor Mineiro should have stopped the shot. Antônio Carlos Valadares's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 18thth minute, Murilo Paiva skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 23rd minute of the match Olivedos got a corner. Curiphila Eagles's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Antônio Carlos Valadares ran over to the corner to take the kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Antônio Carlos Valadares in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Murilo Paiva prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 31 minutes, Edson Mendes made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Curiphila Eagles's Murilo Paiva tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 34th minute Antônio Carlos Valadares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Murilo Paiva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Olivedos's Edson Mendes in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Olivedos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edson Mendes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 45 minutes into the match, Curiphila Eagles's goalkeeper Murilo Paiva had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Antônio Carlos Valadares. Doni Senna could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Murilo Paiva made a huge save. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Caco Paraense stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Curiphila Eagles's Tadeu do Vale slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Víktor Mineiro. That made the score 2-3 after 58 minutes of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Caco Paraense in the 62nd minute of play forced Olivedos's goalkeeper Víktor Mineiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Curiphila Eagles's zone, Antônio Carlos Valadares stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Murilo Paiva came out of the goal and Antônio Carlos Valadares tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match had gone on for 81 minutes, Antônio Carlos Valadares put it in 3-3 from a short distance just to the right of Murilo Paiva. Edson Mendes struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Murilo Paiva didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Olivedos. Antônio Carlos Valadares took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Murilo Paiva. Murilo Paiva dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-3. After 90 played minutes Olivedos got a freekick which was hit by Ulysses Romero. Olivedos's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
