An unexpected shot in the 40th minute by Valdomiro de Godoi got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Valdomiro de Godoi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Leonard Olejasz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. In the 43rd minute Romando Futebol Clube were awarded a corner. Juninho Paulista went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Romando Futebol Clube's Juninho Paulista to fire away a dangerous shot which Leonard Olejasz despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Semi Yaltır made the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jovica Zeković got free with Rubén-Osvaldo Cousillas in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by André Sundström in the 56th minute of play forced FC Gustavo FPRMZ's goalkeeper Leonard Olejasz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leonard Olejasz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valdomiro de Godoi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leonard Olejasz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 83 minutes into the match, Romando Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Rubén-Osvaldo Cousillas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Agostinho Moraes. 85 minutes into the match, FC Gustavo FPRMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Niva Bellido came free, but Leonard Olejasz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to FC Gustavo FPRMZ getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Aníbal Vidal hit a great ball. Leonard Olejasz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Niva Bellido in the 92nd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Niva Bellido in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Leonard Olejasz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Júlio Saraiva got free with Rubén-Osvaldo Cousillas in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the referee blew the final whistle, Romando Futebol Clube could leave the field as winners, despite FC Gustavo FPRMZ having more of the ball for most of the match.
