Ricardinho Dantas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Leandro Neves read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. 23 minutes into the match, Luiz Eduardo Tróia had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ali Nejat Özertem. Colombo A.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luiz Eduardo Tróia was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. After a rather tough play, Colombo A.C.'s Manoel Alagoano got a free kick in the 34th minute. Leandro Neves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ricardinho Dantas in the 36th minute of the match. 37 minutes had been played when some careless play by Caskinha Esporte Clube's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Lauro Neiva was slow to take the kick. During this time Colombo A.C.'s players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Alfredo Meireles almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Caskinha Esporte Clube's Leandro Neves did a great save. When the match had gone on for 37 minutes, Alfredo Meireles put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Leandro Neves. Leandro Neves didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ricardinho Dantas went, in the 46th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luiz Eduardo Tróia was the one to do the kick off. Ricardinho Dantas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Colombo A.C. getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Maksymilian Polkoski hit a great ball. With a little luck, Caskinha Esporte Clube's Leandro Neves got control of the ball when Ricardinho Dantas tried to sneak it across the goal line. Colombo A.C. made a substitution. Oséas Camargo replaced Alfredo Meireles. Ricardinho Dantas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Leandro Neves made a huge save. Leandro Neves made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Michal Burufski sent off a good shot on target. Evaristo Ortiz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ali Nejat Özertem having to make a save. Ali Nejat Özertem took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iván Zamorano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 90 minutes into the game, Alan de Queiroz threw the ball into play from the sideline. Caskinha Esporte Clube's Artur Campidelis quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 93rd minute, Iván Zamorano made a precise shot to the right of Ali Nejat Özertem. Colombo A.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2.
