An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Eduardo Tróia in the 9th minute of play forced Three Lions FC's goalkeeper George Buffon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luiz Eduardo Tróia struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. George Buffon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Caskinha Esporte Clube. Leandro Neves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from George Messi in the 12th minute of play. Luiz Eduardo Tróia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but George Buffon made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as Luiz Eduardo Tróia kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving George Buffon. That made the score 1-0 in the 15 minute of play. Three Lions FC's Gunnar Ekeroth got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 22nd minute, Caskinha Esporte Clube's Luiz Eduardo Tróia dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Luiz Eduardo Tróia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but George Buffon read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. Caskinha Esporte Clube were awarded a corner in the 26th minute after Three Lions FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Baleren Acedo took the corner. Leandro Neves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from George Messi in the 34th minute of play. George Kroos hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. It was a well-played corner which Remus Costeiantu managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luiz Eduardo Tróia to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Three Lions FC's zone, Luiz Eduardo Tróia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. George Buffon came out of the goal and Luiz Eduardo Tróia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Caskinha Esporte Clube's Leandro Neves got control of the ball when George Messi tried to sneak it across the goal line. Leandro Neves made an important save on a dangerous shot by George Messi in the 57th minute. When Caskinha Esporte Clube's Luiz Eduardo Tróia in the 58th minute got a chance for a shot 58th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. George Buffon made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Caskinha Esporte Clube made a substitution. Iván Zamorano replaced Luiz Eduardo Tróia. In the 75th minute, George Kroos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Iván Zamorano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Three Lions FC's George Buffon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iván Zamorano in the 79th minute of play. In the 81st minute of the match, Gunnar Ekeroth got a very nice opportunity to score, but Leandro Neves was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind Three Lions FC's goalkeeper George Buffon, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 90th minute Iván Zamorano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but George Buffon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Caskinha Esporte Clube were victorious despite being under pressure from Three Lions FC for much of the match.
