Abelardo Maranhense dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Matouš Carda in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Abelardo Maranhense prevented the ball from getting in the gole. AFC - Curitiba's Fausto da Rocha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abel de Godoi in the 24th minute of play. 25 minutes into the match, Abel de Godoi notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of AFC - Curitiba's Fausto da Rocha. Fausto da Rocha was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Abelardo Maranhense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zhang Yin Si in the 28th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jan Bykowski was the one to do the kick off. Matouš Carda was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post.
