The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 2 minutes into the game, Gonzalo Parraga was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Olivedos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Joinville United - FSCMZ the free kick. In the 2nd match minute, Olivedos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gonzalo Parraga to maneuver through the defense. Alexsandro da Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Borys Gruchacz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abel de Godoi in the 14th minute of play. Olivedos's Abelardo Maranhense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mané Lara in the 29th minute of play. Abelardo Maranhense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mané Lara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mané Lara in the 43rd minute of play forced Olivedos's goalkeeper Abelardo Maranhense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 44th minute, Mané Lara ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Abelardo Maranhense was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Abel de Godoi to make the kick off. Mané Lara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Abelardo Maranhense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mané Lara, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute.
