Gino Velasco was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Joinville United - FSCMZ's Fernando Vale managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Ramiro de Lara in the 11 minute of the game. 14 minutes into the game, Fernando Vale threw the ball into play from the sideline. Relyn Futebol Clube's Ramiro de Lara quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Gino Velasco was out of position in the 15 minute of play, and Mané Lara capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Mané Lara really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Elberg As got free with Gino Velasco in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gino Velasco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mané Lara in the 35th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mané Lara in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gino Velasco saved Relyn Futebol Clube from getting behind. The crowd rose to their feet as Mané Lara kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Gino Velasco. That made the score 3-0 in the 41 minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The audience was convinced that Mané Lara's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gino Velasco was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. The corner ended in Prospero Perfecto almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Relyn Futebol Clube's Gino Velasco did a great save. Joinville United - FSCMZ's Alesandro Coutinho was substituted for Elberg As. Joinville United - FSCMZ's Lennart Khan was substituted for Didi Cardozo. Relyn Futebol Clube's Ademar Meirelles was substituted for Walter Samuel. Relyn Futebol Clube's Genaro Valdemoro was substituted for Qu Jun Fan. In the 81st minute Lennart Khan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gino Velasco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Lennart Khan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Joinville United - FSCMZ's supporters rose to their feet, but Lennart Khan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gino Velasco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the referee ended the match the Joinville United - FSCMZ players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
