Gui Almeida showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Douglas Basso, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. With a little luck, ROSÁRIO SPORT's Luiz Corrêa got control of the ball when Dieter Breves tried to sneak it across the goal line. 35 minutes into the match, ROSÁRIO SPORT's goalkeeper Luiz Corrêa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wieslaw Szkaradek. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sten Andrejević in the 37th minute of play forced Chinho FC's goalkeeper Gui Almeida to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gui Almeida came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by ROSÁRIO SPORT's Alexandros Krieser. But to his dismay, Alexandros Krieser quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 43rd minute of the game. One of Chinho FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of ROSÁRIO SPORT:s goal. After the first half ROSÁRIO SPORT were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Douglas Basso to strike the kick off in the second half.
