In the 9th minute, Valentin Blomkvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vista Alegre FC's Igor Souza couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 10th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Trindade Atlético Club. Tiaguinho Correia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robustiano Clementi in the 12th minute of the match. In the 14th minute, one of Vista Alegre FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Vista Alegre FC. Marco Soares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Tiaguinho Correia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marco Soares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 23rd minute, Robustiano Clementi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Vista Alegre FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lex Nelis in the 29th minute of play forced Trindade Atlético Club's goalkeeper Tiaguinho Correia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tiaguinho Correia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dudu Magalhães, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 34thth minute of the game Robustiano Clementi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Trindade Atlético Club's Tiaguinho Correia was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 38 minutes, Dudu Magalhães mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vista Alegre FC and the Trindade Atlético Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 38th minute, Dudu Magalhães hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 40 minutes, Dagoberto Dracena managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Trindade Atlético Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dagoberto Dracena was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tiaguinho Correia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lex Nelis, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. 43 minutes into the match, Trindade Atlético Club's goal looked a bit too open when Lex Nelis came free, but Tiaguinho Correia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dagoberto Dracena to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Dagoberto Dracena got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Robustiano Clementi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Tiaguinho Correia made a huge save. Ronaldo de Moraes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dagoberto Dracena in the 62nd minute of the match. A collision led to Vista Alegre FC getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Jordy Hoes hit a great ball. 72 minutes into the match, Dagoberto Dracena had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ronaldo de Moraes. Vista Alegre FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dagoberto Dracena was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. With a little luck, Trindade Atlético Club's Tiaguinho Correia got control of the ball when Norberto de Azevedo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ronaldo de Moraes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Róbson Couto in the 84th minute of play. Trindade Atlético Club's Vintilă Ungur was substituted for Dragoş Vâtcu. In the 85th minute, Dragoş Vâtcu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tiaguinho Correia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robustiano Clementi in the 86th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Norberto de Azevedo in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tiaguinho Correia saved Trindade Atlético Club from getting behind. In the 91st minute, Róbson Couto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tiaguinho Correia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robustiano Clementi in the 94th minute of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Trindade Atlético Club fans cheered their team off the field, for while Vista Alegre FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
