An unexpectedly hard shot by Andy Cole in the 4th minute of play forced Vista Alegre FC's goalkeeper Ronaldo de Moraes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 6 minutes into the game, Dudu Magalhães recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Egun Pais. Dudu Magalhães showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andy Cole in the 14th minute of play forced Vista Alegre FC's goalkeeper Ronaldo de Moraes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 17 minutes in the game, Andy Cole dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. In the 21st minute, Primitivo Ibar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 26 minutes into the game, Floresta Negra FC's Andy Cole nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ronaldo de Moraes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. When Floresta Negra FC's Andy Cole in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Vista Alegre FC's goalie prevented a goal. Igor Souza made in the 38th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Marco Soares however managed to control. Andy Cole's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ronaldo de Moraes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Floresta Negra FC's Areion Koulpasis got a free kick in the 43rd minute. The supporters of Floresta Negra FC booed when Vista Alegre FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Igor Souza didn't get a good kick on the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Andy Cole to strike the kick off in the second half. Floresta Negra FC's Egun Pais played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robustiano Clementi in the 56th minute of play. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind Floresta Negra FC's goalkeeper Egun Pais, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Floresta Negra FC made a substitution. Alexsandro Mandrak replaced Hector Bazkoare. Robustiano Clementi spun around in front of the goal 65 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Floresta Negra FC's goal. Vista Alegre FC's Norberto de Azevedo was substituted for Dudu Magalhães. In the 71st minute Marco Soares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Egun Pais saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Vista Alegre FC booed when Floresta Negra FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Areion Koulpasis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vista Alegre FC made a substitution. Elias Proença replaced Jordy Hoes. Egun Pais made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robustiano Clementi in the 78th minute of play. Carlos Fernando Azevedo hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Egun Pais showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Gustavo Vergílio in the 82nd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jardel Lewandowski in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ronaldo de Moraes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jardel Lewandowski's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ronaldo de Moraes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. Egun Pais came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by Vista Alegre FC's Robustiano Clementi. But to his dismay, Robustiano Clementi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Floresta Negra FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
