The MarquinhosEC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zézinho Simões should have stopped the shot. Zézinho Simões showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Casimiro Jatsu in the 7th minute of the match. Zézinho Simões took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Casimiro Jatsu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 14 minutes into the game, Casimiro Jatsu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Zézinho Simões was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Airborne FC's Pedro Paulo Barreto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alessandro do Valle in the 47th minute of play. The MarquinhosEC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Airborne FC were winning 0-2.

54 minutes into the match, Airborne FC's Casimiro Jatsu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zézinho Simões narrowly saved just below the crossbar. MarquinhosEC's Zézinho Simões played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Horia Lupu in the 67th minute of play. In the 68th minute, Äli Abdulrähmanov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. MarquinhosEC's Rubinho Valle was substituted for Esteve Quinto. MarquinhosEC made a substitution. Perivaldo Guimarães replaced Curt Montes. Äli Abdulrähmanov kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Pedro Paulo Barreto came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by MarquinhosEC's Perivaldo Guimarães. But to his dismay, Perivaldo Guimarães quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Mark Kovalev hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Airborne FC's Cássio Chaves was substituted for Marcos Linares. A sloppy throw-in by Luan Mota in the 79th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by MarquinhosEC's Mark Kovalev. Casimiro Jatsu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Zézinho Simões made a huge save. Mark Kovalev kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Casimiro Jatsu received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Zézinho Simões came out and tried to block the shot, but Casimiro Jatsu slotted it home off the left post making it 1-4 in the 87th minute. Zézinho Simões showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sven Lind, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Pedro Paulo Barreto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Inácio Freitas's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute. The throw-in from Mark Kovalev in the 94th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Airborne FC's Luan Mota. Airborne FC's Casimiro Jatsu got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Casimiro Jatsu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 96 minutes into the match, MarquinhosEC's goalkeeper Zézinho Simões had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Casimiro Jatsu. The MarquinhosEC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Airborne FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
