Shao Xi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dinu Augustin, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. In the 9th minute, Dinu Augustin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sepsiszentgyörgy fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. When the match had gone on for 12 minutes, Dinu Augustin put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Shao Xi. If 孙荣冰 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Shao Xi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dinu Augustin went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. Kjell Ennegren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 孙荣冰, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 23 minutes into the match, S.S Lazio's 齐誉奕 sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kjell Ennegren narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 27thth minute of the game Dinu Augustin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but S.S Lazio's Shao Xi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Dinu Augustin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Shao Xi having to make a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Dan Popan managed to get in a good position for a shot. S.S Lazio's supporters rose to their feet, but Dan Popan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kjell Ennegren breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 42nd minute, Gelu Merișor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pavel Bosioc recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half Sepsiszentgyörgy were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Dinu Augustin made the kick off in the second half. 潘荣竞 hit a great freekick 50 minutes into the match. Sepsiszentgyörgy made a substitution. Iulian Hanganu replaced Nechifor Mărăscu. The supporters of Sepsiszentgyörgy booed when S.S Lazio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. 齐誉奕 didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sepsiszentgyörgy's Pavel Bosioc suffered a concussion in the 59th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. In the 60th match minute, S.S Lazio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Julian Bochinski to maneuver through the defense. The attack was good, but when Dinu Augustin in the 61st minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. 齐誉奕 hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. In the 66th minute Alaa Ciobica shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Shao Xi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dan Popan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kjell Ennegren having to interfere. When Axel Ekblom came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Sepsiszentgyörgy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Axel Ekblom couldn't finish the play. Sepsiszentgyörgy's Anton Bucur was substituted for Costel Stolnicu. Dinu Augustins short, quick shot in the 81stth minute got Shao Xi to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. A collision led to S.S Lazio getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. 范亦洲 hit a great ball. 85 minutes into the match, Sepsiszentgyörgy's Dinu Augustin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Shao Xi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 89thth minute of the game Alaa Ciobica who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but S.S Lazio's Shao Xi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Alaa Ciobica scored 1-7 in the 90th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Shao Xi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Sepsiszentgyörgy's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
