If Turgut Soyuer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 6 minutes into the match, GuateFortín's goal looked a bit too open when Turgut Soyuer came free, but Nery Pumpido reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Angel Alvarenga could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Jarbas Quadros made a huge save. Turgut Soyuer blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nery Pumpido having to make a save. Nery Pumpido took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Turgut Soyuer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zico Zellier in the 17th minute of play forced PREZULO FC's goalkeeper Jarbas Quadros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jarbas Quadros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zico Zellier in the 22nd minute of play. 25 minutes into the game, PREZULO FC's Turgut Soyuer nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nery Pumpido made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. A collision led to GuateFortín getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Zico Zellier hit a great ball. 37 minutes into the match, PREZULO FC's Turgut Soyuer sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nery Pumpido narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jarbas Quadros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zico Zellier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Turgut Soyuer in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nery Pumpido prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zico Zellier in the 45th minute of play forced PREZULO FC's goalkeeper Jarbas Quadros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Thierry Henry stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Nery Pumpido was a little too slow when Turgut Soyuer got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 51st minute. The score was now 0-3. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind GuateFortín's goalkeeper Nery Pumpido, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 56th minute Thierry Henry shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jarbas Quadros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. GuateFortín's Nery Pumpido proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save GuateFortín from getting a goal against them. Turgut Soyuer's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 62ndth minute, Nery Pumpido skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 63rd minute Angel Alvarenga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jarbas Quadros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 65 minutes into the match, GuateFortín's goal looked a bit too open when Ronny Åman came free, but Nery Pumpido reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. GuateFortín made a substitution. Ivan Lozano replaced Roberto Trotta. PREZULO FC made a substitution. Betão de Brito replaced Saulão Chettle. PREZULO FC made a substitution. Isaac Ferreira replaced Turgut Soyuer. PREZULO FC's Shi Xi Zhen was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Nery Pumpido in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Jarbas Quadros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thierry Henry, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Angel Alvarenga succeeded in the game's 72nd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-3. Betão de Brito's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 77thth minute, Nery Pumpido skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. PREZULO FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Shi Xi Zhen in the 78th minute. PREZULO FC's Shi Xi Zhen was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Nery Pumpido in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. GuateFortín's Nery Pumpido proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save GuateFortín from getting a goal against them. With an all-out effort, PREZULO FC's Nery Pumpido threw himself towards the right post 89 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Isaac Ferreira, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Nery Pumpido didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Isaac Ferreira went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-5 was the resulting score. Angel Alvarenga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jarbas Quadros having to interfere. Nery Pumpido came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by PREZULO FC's Betão de Brito. But to his dismay, Betão de Brito quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-6. PREZULO FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
