After 14 played minutes Kingpins got a freekick which was hit by Nils-Åke Åkerman. Lars-Erik Ivarsson scored 0-2 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Celedonio Iraitz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 37th match minute, Black Rose 1979 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rigoberto Tello to maneuver through the defense. After the first half Kingpins were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Mikael Ekeberg made the kick off in the second half. Celedonio Iraitz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mikael Ekeberg in the 52nd minute of play. Celedonio Iraitz didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 55th minute, which inside left pole to 0-3. After a defensive mix-up in Black Rose 1979's zone, Charles Lenberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Celedonio Iraitz came out of the goal and Charles Lenberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ralf Olsmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celedonio Iraitz having to interfere. Celedonio Iraitz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mikael Ekeberg in the 75th minute of the match. Mikael Ekeberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Celedonio Iraitz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mikael Ekeberg in the 91st minute of play forced Black Rose 1979's goalkeeper Celedonio Iraitz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
