In the 13th minute Bernt Löfskog shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Doni Seco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 14th minute Mauro Sarmento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Per-Olof Walroth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 19 minutes into the match, Strömsbro IF's goal looked a bit too open when Mauro Sarmento came free, but Per-Olof Walroth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Geovani Madureira during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mauro Sarmento to strike the kick off in the second half. Geovani Madureira hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Albin Vallman was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 53rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Bernt Ekström kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. 64 minutes into the game, Mauro Sarmento lined in a short shot 0-2 behind a frustrated Per-Olof Walroth. 68 minutes into the game, Konrad Klintæus was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Strömsbro IF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Castanheiro SC the free kick. A collision led to Strömsbro IF getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Konrad Klintæus hit a great ball. After 69 played minutes, Castanheiro SC's Ulisses Senna shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Per-Olof Walroth came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Castanheiro SC reached it. The supporters of Castanheiro SC booed when Strömsbro IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nils-Åke Telin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Per-Olof Walroth took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mauro Sarmento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Per-Olof Walroth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcelo Eger, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Castanheiro SC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
