The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2ndth minute of the game Teobaldo Milian who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Depor Alex Return's Benedicto Beremundo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Depor Alex Return's Nicolas Ihazintu got a free kick in the 4th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luis Fidencio during the 6th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 8th minute of the match Anselmo Sarracino sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Benedicto Beremundo skillfully saved the ball. Benedicto Beremundo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Teobaldo Milian's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. 16 minutes into the match, Teobaldo Milian had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benedicto Beremundo. Depor Alex Return's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Teobaldo Milian was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Benedicto Beremundo was out of position in the 20 minute of play, and Teobaldo Milian capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Teobaldo Milian really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. In the 22nd match minute, Depor Alex Return was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicolas Ihazintu to maneuver through the defense. Club Atlético Atlanta's Rene Luzea got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Teobaldo Milians short, quick shot in the 43rdth minute got Benedicto Beremundo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Teobaldo Milian got free with Benedicto Beremundo in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Depor Alex Return getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Nicolas Ihazintu hit a great ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Teobaldo Milian made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Depor Alex Return's zone, Teobaldo Milian stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benedicto Beremundo came out of the goal and Teobaldo Milian tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nicolas Ihazintu did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-1 to the left of a surprised Aquiles Oihenarte 60 minutes into the match. Aquiles Oihenarte had great luck who in the 65thth minute grab hold of the ball when Nicolas Ihazintu from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. After 68 minutes, Filomeno Herrera mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Depor Alex Return and the Club Atlético Atlanta players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 67th minute of the game. One of Depor Alex Return:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Club Atlético Atlanta:s goal. After 69 minutes of play, Club Atlético Atlanta's Fabian Guter made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benedicto Beremundo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Teobaldo Milian might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benedicto Beremundo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Teobaldo Milian ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 89 minutes, Nicolas Ihazintu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Depor Alex Return's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nicolas Ihazintu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Teobaldo Milian came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Club Atlético Atlanta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Teobaldo Milian couldn't finish the play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Club Atlético Atlanta fully deserved thier win.
