De tulpen SC's Cobus de Backer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save De tulpen SC from getting a goal against them. In the 20th minute Ildefonso Ortle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cobus de Backer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, De tulpen SC's Cobus de Backer got control of the ball when Casimiro Lopez tried to sneak it across the goal line. Casimiro Lopez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Gaviotas FC's Casimiro Lopez got a free kick in the 35th minute. In the 41st match minute, De tulpen SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ruben Verheije to maneuver through the defense. In the 42nd minute, Casimiro Lopez fired a really elegant long shot, but Cobus de Backer threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. 44 minutes into the game, De tulpen SC's Marc Bijl nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gavino Luke made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After a rather tough play, De tulpen SC's Roelof Wit got a free kick in the 47th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The supporters of De tulpen SC booed when Gaviotas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Esteve Naelio didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gaviotas FC's goalkeeper Gavino Luke, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Cobus de Backer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ildefonso Ortle, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cobus de Backer didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Baldomiro Oliverios went, in the 67th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Gaviotas FC's Anastasio Arce was substituted for Sebastian Gimenez. Gaviotas FC's Rodolfo Ursino was substituted for Ildefonso Ortle. Gaviotas FC made a substitution. Thanks to some nice moves Marc Bijl could shoot a difficult shot in the 84th minute, which Gavino Luke however easily saved by the left post. In the 95th minute, Rodolfo Ursino left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gaviotas FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Gaviotas FC had played much better football throughout.
