I Rossoneri's Richard Haraldsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cyrus Crouch in the 34th minute of play. Bruce Nesbitt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Malte Ahlerot, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Bruce Nesbitt was out of position in the 42 minute of play, and Jonas Koch capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Jonas Koch really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

After having played for 52 minutes, Marcus Maher managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cosmos Soccer Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcus Maher was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, I Rossoneri's Richard Haraldsson got control of the ball when Russ Thorne tried to sneak it across the goal line. Bruce Nesbitt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonas Koch in the 56th minute of the match. Bruce Nesbitt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sivert Stabbe in the 57th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Malte Ahlerot in the 59th minute of play forced Cosmos Soccer Club's goalkeeper Bruce Nesbitt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of I Rossoneri booed when Cosmos Soccer Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Weldon Velasco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Russ Thorne could shoot a difficult shot in the 68th minute, which Richard Haraldsson however easily saved by the left post. Cyrus Crouch was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 74th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. 77 minutes into the match, Cosmos Soccer Club's goal looked a bit too open when Malte Ahlerot came free, but Bruce Nesbitt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 82nd minute, Russ Thorne ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Richard Haraldsson was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. In the 87th minute of the match Karl-Åke Mattsson shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bruce Nesbitt showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Olov Tunberg got his second yellow card in the match during the 88th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The supporters of Cosmos Soccer Club booed when I Rossoneri was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Olov Tunberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Russ Thorne had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cosmos Soccer Club's Bruce Nesbitt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Malte Ahlerot in the 94th minute of play. When the referee ended the match the I Rossoneri players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
