KFC Paal-Tervant's Willem-Jan Steuckens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Almir Diamanti in the 28th minute of play. After 29 played minutes I Rossoneri got a freekick which was hit by Sture Holm. In the 53rd match minute, I Rossoneri was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Agne Palmquist to maneuver through the defense. KFC Paal-Tervant were awarded a corner in the 56th minute after I Rossoneri's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Nickolas Van Turnhout took the corner. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christian Vallin in the 92nd minute of play forced KFC Paal-Tervant's goalkeeper Willem-Jan Steuckens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Christian Vallin managed to get in a good position for a shot. I Rossoneri's supporters rose to their feet, but Christian Vallin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Willem-Jan Steuckens breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The KFC Paal-Tervant supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing KFC Paal-Tervant would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
