The referee ignored Amazonas's protests and gave Sotero Closa a yellow card for diving instead. After 30 played minutes Amazonas got a freekick which was hit by Sotero Closa. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sture Holm in the 34th minute of play forced Amazonas's goalkeeper Francis Mallo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. I Rossoneri's defense didn't have a chance, in the 37th minute, when Raul Carulla scored to the left of an out of position Richard Haraldsson, making the score, 2-1. An unexpected shot in the 43rd minute by Iratze Canillas got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Christian Vallin's late challenge caught a Amazonas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Christian Vallin helped the player get up and apologised. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Raul Carulla was the one to do the kick off. Amazonas's Francis Mallo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christian Vallin in the 54th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 55 minutes, Francis Mallo successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 56 minutes had been played when some careless play by Amazonas's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Christian Vallin was slow to take the kick. During this time I Rossoneri's players had a chance to rest. After 58 minutes Amazonas's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Christian Vallin who took care of the corner kick. Christian Vallin made a great header on I Rossoneri's corner, it was just that Amazonas's Francis Mallo managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 66th minute, Sotero Closa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal.
