Dominico F.C.'s Denis Umbruso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Dominico F.C. from getting a goal against them. Dominico F.C.'s Denis Umbruso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tod Monkman in the 6th minute of play. Denis Umbruso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerónimo Villavicencio in the 7th minute of play. In the 7th minute, Alfredo Luzaide hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 8 minutes into the match, Dominico F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when George Woodhead came free, but Denis Umbruso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Denis Umbruso didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tod Monkman went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. In the 17th minute of the match, Jerry Gamble got a very nice opportunity to score, but Denis Umbruso was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tod Monkman in the 19th minute of play forced Dominico F.C.'s goalkeeper Denis Umbruso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Denis Umbruso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from George Woodhead, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Denis Umbruso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jerry Gamble in the 25th minute. George Woodhead's late challenge caught a Dominico F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After 41 played minutes Colchester United got a freekick which was hit by Gerónimo Villavicencio. 47 minutes into the match, Dominico F.C.'s goalkeeper Denis Umbruso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tod Monkman. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tod Monkman got free with Denis Umbruso in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alfredo Aresti to strike the kick off in the second half. Natalio Arnas made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Alfredo Aresti sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Dominico F.C. booed when Colchester United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lennie Neville didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Colchester United's zone, Clodoveo Urtsua stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Natalio Arnas came out of the goal and Clodoveo Urtsua tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 58 minutes of play, Colchester United's Tod Monkman made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Denis Umbruso was left in no man's land by his defense there! Denis Umbruso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from George Woodhead in the 64th minute of the match. Denis Umbruso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from George Woodhead, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that George Woodhead's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Denis Umbruso was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. In the 80th minute, Tod Monkman ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Denis Umbruso was frozen by the shot and now it was 8-0. Denis Umbruso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from George Woodhead in the 84th minute of the match. Tod Monkman scored 9-0 in the 85th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Denis Umbruso, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 92nd minute, Tod Monkman ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Denis Umbruso was frozen by the shot and now it was 10-0. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Colchester United fans cheered their team off the field, for while Dominico F.C. had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
