Natalio Arnas made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Iratze Canillas sent off a good shot on target. Francis Mallo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jerry Gamble, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The corner ended in Sotero Closa almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Colchester United's Natalio Arnas did a great save. In the 29th minute, Raul Carulla left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Amazonas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. In the 37th minute Raul Carulla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Natalio Arnas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 37 minutes into the match, Colchester United's goal looked a bit too open when Raul Carulla came free, but Natalio Arnas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Francis Mallo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from George Woodhead in the 38th minute of the match. 39 minutes into the match, George Woodhead had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Francis Mallo. The wind increased when Raul Carulla made the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the game, one of Colchester United:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Natalio Arnas had in the 58thth minute some difficulties stopping Raul Carulla's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. A collision led to Colchester United getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Gerónimo Villavicencio hit a great ball. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind Colchester United's goalkeeper Natalio Arnas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Natalio Arnas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raul Carulla in the 62nd minute of play. The supporters of Amazonas booed when Colchester United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tod Monkman didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 64th minute of the match Sotero Closa shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Natalio Arnas showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Iratze Canillas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Natalio Arnas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 67 minutes into the game, Amazonas's Raul Carulla nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Natalio Arnas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-1.
