But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zé Pedro Salles couldn't finish the play. In the 27th minute, Ernesto Velloso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Agua Santa defense, Cafu Martins kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tomé Mota. The Agua Santa fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tomé Mota should have stopped the shot. In the 34th minute, Pindorama's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Oséas Trigo fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. When Pindorama's Nelsinho Meira in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Agua Santa's goalie prevented a goal. Conrado Qwinton took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tomé Mota. Tomé Mota dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Tiago Cosme kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. In the 44th minute, Nelsinho Meira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pindorama fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Enrique Abreu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Hortêncio Duarte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Enrique Abreu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tomé Mota made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Cafu Martins sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Conrado Qwinton in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tomé Mota prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Hortêncio Duarte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oséas Trigo in the 62nd minute of play. 67 minutes into the game, Cafu Martins cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Tomé Mota was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Agua Santa made a substitution. William Luz replaced Fábio Lopez. If Cafu Martins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 82nd match minute, Pindorama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Davi Botelho to maneuver through the defense. Rafael Cruz kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Tomé Mota made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zé Pedro Salles in the 87th minute. Agua Santa's Tomé Mota proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Agua Santa from getting a goal against them. When the match was over Pindorama could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Agua Santa throughout the match.
