The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, F.Salgado F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Hermínio Moraes came free, but Matt Ryan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Matt Ryan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hermínio Moraes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Robert Macaneață sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 15th match minute, Pombal 2003 F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Martxel Palmer to maneuver through the defense. When Teodoro Moreno came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the F.Salgado F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Teodoro Moreno couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Pombal 2003 F.C.'s Onur Candar got a free kick in the 19th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Pombal 2003 F.C.'s zone, Robert Macaneață stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luiz Fabiano de Lima came out of the goal and Robert Macaneață tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 26 minutes into the match, Pombal 2003 F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Teodoro Moreno came free, but Luiz Fabiano de Lima reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to F.Salgado F.C. getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Cristo Negroni hit a great ball. 33 minutes into the match, Di Yuan Liang dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Matt Ryan, 1-0. F.Salgado F.C.'s Matt Ryan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Di Yuan Liang in the 36th minute of play. After 37 minutes F.Salgado F.C.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Hermínio Moraes who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Hermínio Moraes almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but F.Salgado F.C.'s Matt Ryan did a great save. In the 41st minute, F.Salgado F.C.'s goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Sebastian Zieba fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Luiz Fabiano de Lima showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teodoro Moreno, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Di Yuan Liang was the one to do the kick off. Luiz Fabiano de Lima took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teodoro Moreno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Matt Ryan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hermínio Moraes in the 53rd minute of play. Teodoro Moreno had several of the Pombal 2003 F.C.'s defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 56 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-1 score and a disappointed Luiz Fabiano de Lima as he didn't even see the shot coming. Luiz Fabiano de Lima made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teodoro Moreno in the 60th minute of play. Matt Ryan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Di Yuan Liang, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luiz Fabiano de Lima showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teodoro Moreno in the 64th minute of the match. In the 69th minute, Di Yuan Liang got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With an all-out effort, F.Salgado F.C.'s Luiz Fabiano de Lima threw himself towards the right post 78 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Teodoro Moreno, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The corner led F.Salgado F.C.'s Cristo Negroni to a score. 1-2 in the 80th minute. Onur Candar made in the 84th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Giovani Furlan however managed to control. Luiz Fabiano de Lima came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by F.Salgado F.C.'s Teodoro Moreno. But to his dismay, Teodoro Moreno quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3.
